Cleanware · software studio

Own your software. For good.

Software became something you rent. Cleanware is a studio building the opposite: apps you buy once and own forever. They run on your device, work offline (a few download system components once, such as speech models), and get free updates for every new OS version.

// promises

Four promises, compiled into every app

They aren't features we might remove later. They're how the apps are built.

  • 01

    Pay once, yours forever

    Try it free with every feature. One purchase unlocks it for good, with Family Sharing where the store allows it. Nothing renews.

  • 02

    No account

    Open it and start. There's no sign-up, no password to forget and no profile about you on anyone's server.

  • 03

    No ads

    No banners, no pop-ups, nothing “sponsored”. You pay for the app, so the app works for you.

  • 04

    No tracking

    No analytics, no crash reporters, no tracking SDKs. The privacy labels say “Data Not Collected”, and it's true.

// updates

The updates promise

Buying once doesn't mean buying something that stops working. Years pass, new OS versions ship, and we keep updating the apps so they keep working.

The updates promise
releasewhat changesprice
v1.0.1Compatibility with each new OS versionFree
v1.0.2Bug fixes and security patchesFree
v1.1Polish and small improvementsFree
v2.0A major new featureMay be paid

The honest fine print: if we add a major new feature, that version may be a paid upgrade. It's always optional, and the version you already own keeps working.

// roadmap

This is just the beginning

We started with apps people use every day. The plan is to bring buy-once, on-device software to every kind of program we can, for consumers and for industries.

  1. 01now

    Consumer apps

    Everyday apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac.

  2. 02next

    Professional software

    Desktop tools for Mac, Windows and Linux that professionals rely on every day.

  3. 03later

    Industry software

    Software for businesses and industries, built the same way: it runs on your hardware, and you own it.

No dates on purpose: we announce things when they're ready.

// manifesto

Why own your software?

Software shouldn't be rent.

Most apps now bill you every month for tools that barely change. A scanner, a PDF editor or a flashcard app is something you should be able to buy, like a good pen, and keep.

Your work stays yours.

With no server, there's no account to lock you out of, no database to leak and no service to shut down. Your files live on your device, and you can export them whenever you like.

Honest by design.

When you pay once, we only do well if the app is genuinely good. No growth tricks, no dark patterns, no upsell every week.

A software studio, not a subscription service

Cleanware designs, builds, translates and supports every app in house. No investors to please, no growth targets, no data to sell. We earn money one way: by making software worth buying once.

In English and Spanish

Every app, store listing and help page is written in both languages, with Spanish written for Mexico and Latin America, not machine-translated.
